Mend Thread Care

mend

Mend Thread Care is a resilient health ecosystem designed to bridge the critical gap between emergency incidents and clinical care through a seamless "digital thread." By uniting citizens, first responders, and hospitals on a single platform, Mend ensures that life-saving data flows instantly, even in the most remote, low-connectivity environments

The story that started Mend

When my daughter fell from the mango tree I heard the snap and then the silence, she wasn't breathing, her arm was bent wrong, and I had no idea how to help her without making it worse. I called the clinic, the driver, the supervisor, and finally a backup driver who was forty minutes away and needed directions to my street while my daughter lay motionless on the grass. Someone offered their car, but I was too afraid to move her, what if I broke something else, what if she stopped breathing for good on the way? I sat on the ground with my hand on her chest, counting breaths, waiting for help I couldn't see, with no way of knowing if anyone was even coming.

Research

To bridge the critical gaps in emergency medical response and patient data portability, we conducted extensive research involving a diverse cohort of citizens, patients, and healthcare professionals across multiple specialties, including emergency medicine, trauma surgery, and rural primary care. By analyzing the perspectives of over 100 participants, we identified that while patients crave a "human" and simplified digital experience, the current infrastructure remains fragmented, with 74% of participants describing their existing medical experiences as "frustrating" or "confusing."

Our data revealed that 60% of the "Golden Hour" is currently lost to manual data collection and administrative delays, while 90.3% of users identified real-time ambulance tracking as their most urgent need. Furthermore, the research highlighted a severe "digital divide," where 79.2% of rural citizens expressed a need for resilient systems that function in offline zones, and 86.7% of clinicians demanded seamless record synchronization to eliminate repeated, redundant testing. By mapping these pain points ranging from the "crippling panic" of isolated parents to the inability of health authorities to track outbreaks in real-time, we designed Mend Thread Care to be an all-encompassing, offline-accessible ecosystem. These insights directly informed our core features: AI-driven triage, a unified digital health ID, and live GPS synchronization, ensuring that our "digital thread" of support remains unbreakable from the moment of incident to the point of clinical intervention.

Products

To solve the critical failures in emergency communication and data continuity, Mend Thread Care provides an integrated ecosystem of three specialized products: Sync, Bridge, and Pulse. [ Mend Sync (The Citizen Product), Mend Bridge (The Agents, Medics, and Drivers), Mend Pulse (The Clinical, Admin Product, and Government) ]. Together, they unify the fragmented medical journey into a single, resilient digital thread that saves lives through real-time coordination.
